So the other day my visiting teaching companion suggested that we do our visiting teaching at the zoo with all of our kids. It was such a great idea. I hadn't been to the zoo since Ella was a baby and even then we didn't see the whole zoo. I was really excited because there is this Oklahoma part that I'd never seen before and it was the best! It was full of animals local to Oklahoma. There were wild turkeys and deer and bears and wolves... The best part was how close they would come to the fence. Charlie was really tickled by the turkey. Anyway, I'm really glad I went with someone who really knew their way around the zoo. It will definitely be a place we take our own little animals to again this summer.
